I got to learn how to ride a horse
00:01
for Mary Queen of Scots and my horse
00:04
is also Wonder Woman's horse.
00:06
He is the biggest diva I've ever met in my life.
00:09
His name's Prince. [laughing]
00:11
And Prince doesn't do anything for anyone, especially me,
00:15
so I'd be on the horse and I'd be like,
00:17
come on, Prince, let's go, and I'm trying to be all
00:19
sort of queen-like and he'd just look at me and he'd go
00:22
I'm not ready to go yet.
00:24
He'd go from being really,
00:25
really cocky to getting really nervous
00:27
and he did this thing before we would go into a take
00:30
if he was feeling a bit anxious about it where he'd cough.
00:33
So Prince had this nervous cough that you'd hear
00:35
right before we'd do a take, so they'd be like,
00:37
okay, and rolling [coughs].
00:40
[laughing]
00:41
And it would be my horse.
00:48
I signed up to Mary Queen of Scots
00:50
when I was 18 years old, so I've been on it
00:53
for about six years and then we finally did last year
00:58
and it was just the best.
00:59
This is the first time I've played any queen or any monarch.
01:04
Mary had to hold herself in a certain way
01:08
when she was sort of presenting herself to a court
01:12
or the public and was in intimate quarters
01:15
with the people that she was closest to,
01:17
so it was really fun 'cause I got to play around with
01:20
physicality and just felt like a bit of a boss.
01:23
Literally a boss queen.
01:24
The Oscars were great.
01:25
Mom and I had a great time.
01:27
She left the dog at home.
01:28
She decided to actually
01:29
grace me with her presence this time.
01:32
[laughs]
01:33
She feels really bad because now she's like
01:35
everyone thinks that I just chose the dog over you
01:39
and the Golden Globes and I'm sort of like, well, you did.
01:42
I think when you know you're not gonna win,
01:46
it takes the pressure off,
01:49
so you can just sort of enjoy the night and.
01:51
It was like, oh, okay, this is the last thing now,
01:53
this is the last party,
01:55
so you kind of want to make it count.
01:57
[Lynn] These are little fortunes.
01:59
Okay, I'm gonna find a hole that I like. [laughing]
02:02
Oh, yeah, oh there's a little piece of paper.
02:05
Oh, it's tiny.
02:06
I feel like a giant.
02:07
Well, this is a nice one I think.
02:09
Always be yourself, unless you can be a superhero.
02:13
Then, always be the superhero.
02:15
[laughing]
02:17
That's really good.
