I haven't planned to be a model,
it only just happened by pure chance.
I went to beauty school with my sister and I got discovered.
Pretty late, I was discovered
when I was
I didn't speak English really well, not that I do now,
it's a little bit better (laughs) but not so perfect.
I went to Paris and I started to learn English
and take my first pictures for my portfolio.
It was a pretty hard time, you know.
I started my career as a swimsuit model
and my first big breakout in,
was 2007 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
And I've done it for 10 years
and 2011 I was on the cover,
first Russian model to be on the cover
of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
So that was my first big job in America
to be a Sports Illustrated swimsuit girl.
I'm Russian so I've never imagined that I would
be with a swimsuit, you know,
probably like coats and warm clothes for me
sounds a little better.
Who is royal to me in fashion
is definitely Riccardo Tisci.
He is not only an amazing designer
he's an amazing funny person.
A model, I don't know, I mean I love models from Lindy's
like Naomi, Cindy, Christie,
those sexy beautiful girls
and they just walk down the street
and all the guys look at them.
So that's what I like (laughs).
A guy crush?
Steven Seagal because he's like really,
he's really good at fighting and I think it's super sexy.
So maybe him, I dunno.
Every movie makes me cry when I'm in the airplane.
I dunno maybe you feel lonely up in the air or something.
Only one movie that didn't make me
cry lately it was Magic Mike.
I wasn't crying but a guy who was sitting next to me
he couldn't believe I was watching this movie.
Especially the dance part I was really into it
and he, he looked at me like I'm a Russian weirdo.
[Interviewer] I don't think so.
