I think this collection's really my homage
00:06
to individual style.
00:08
Although I'm not a big, kind of, anniversary guy,
00:10
it's my 35th Fall collection,
00:13
so what's been there for me since the beginning?
00:15
It's these very stylish women who inspire me
00:18
and there's a big variety of them.
00:20
They break the rules,
00:21
and they know themselves well.
00:23
The thing about Michael Kors' clothes
00:25
is that it's so timeless and classic,
00:28
but the fabrics he uses, the prints he uses,
00:30
they always have this really cool modern edge
00:32
that make you feel like it's something
00:33
that you can wear today.
00:35
The interesting thing about it for me
00:36
is how do we bring back this joy in getting dressed?
00:40
So it's flirty, lot of short silhouettes in this collection,
00:43
lot of shorter skirts and shorter dresses.
00:46
It's also things that move,
00:48
kind of catch the breeze, so to speak,
00:50
whether it's feathers, streamers on a blouse,
00:53
chains on a bag, slashes in a skirt,
00:56
that's very flirty and fun.
00:58
And then also, it's just breaking the rules day to night
01:01
and even the seasons, you know.
01:02
It's wearing a metallic gold coat to the office.
01:05
It's wearing a Spring apple green in the grayest winter day.
01:09
It's mixing tweed with floral.
01:12
You have to know yourself but
01:13
you have to be willing to break the rules.
