Gary Oldman is my cinematic crush.
Gary Oldman in Dracula.
It was just
him with the accent and the hair
and the humanity he brought to the character.
That was it for me.
I had always loved his work, loved him as an actor.
And didn't think he knew me at all.
I was at the Palm Springs Film Festival
having lunch in a restaurant before,
and I saw him in the restaurant.
And I told my friend, Oh my God, that's Gary Oldman.
I was too nervous to go say hi to him.
Then I was on the Red Carpet,
and someone asked me, Who do you want to meet?
And I said, Well, Gary Oldman's here right now
and I think he's a genius.
15 seconds later, Gary Oldman walks up
to me while I'm still on camera,
and says, Hello, I just want to say hello to you.
I saw you at the restaurant,
but I was too shy to come over.
And, when he walked away, I turned back
and I was so stunned that the person said,
You have tears in your eyes.
And then, I lost it.
I started to cry.
It was pretty special.
