[Jane] Fragrance is transformative.
The ideal fragrance
is one that is both sublime and incendiary.
It's the explosive power of a raining sky
with bursts of woodsy cement on an early morning walk.
I live for fragrance.
If you don't understand it, it's not meant for you.
The savory bouquet of turpentanic zest
can be a diverting narcotic when captured over sweet freesia
and rich, leafy pistachio.
Those who consider themselves scent gourmands know
an oaty, mahogany waft
can have a transfigurative ineffable soapy richness.
What it really boils down to,
is there are just so many words to work with
when characterizing a one of a kind scent.
Attraction, passion, skin that's really shiny.
A wasteland of wanton wanting,
wild waltzing from waxen willowy waves.
And somehow, winsome.
What did I just say?
