I think that going specifically into this collection,
00:23
what was a little bit different for me was really knowing
00:26
from the get-go that we needed a strong impact.
00:36
The two film references we had were Days of Heaven
00:39
just because we were interested in the idea
00:41
of this landscape that was kind of so pastorally beautiful
00:47
and that film, Terrence Malick
00:49
shot it primarily at dusk and dawn.
00:58
We explore the idea of different times of day
01:00
and how light shifts and how a singular landscape
01:03
can look so different, so we started with early morning,
01:06
we went to midday, and then we had a sunset, twilight.
01:15
I think the thing that makes Swarovski stand out
01:17
is that they always seem to have a great story
01:20
with their collection and it's not just about the clothes,
01:23
they have this sort of universe behind them
01:26
and it really draws you in, it's very much curated,
01:29
it's about connections with music, art, environment.
01:35
Also made a reference to the Wizard of Oz,
01:37
at the very end, it was kind of the ruby red
01:39
as kind of a more stormy wheat field
01:41
and then we have the technicolor version of it.
01:46
The way that we wanted to use Swarovski
01:48
was to make the line of the body more pronounced
01:51
so here, even just on a hanger, it's on the outsides
01:54
of the dress but on the body, it really makes
01:57
it look like there's this strict line.
02:04
They are, to me, more couturier, more than the designer.
02:08
They have this fairy tales way to approach
02:13
the communication, they make really a dream
02:15
into the collection, all the time.
02:18
Plus, they grew up, the more they grew up, the more they
02:20
become conscious, and also modern, I think they have this
02:24
modern touch of fashion, which makes their vision
02:32
really strong, stronger and stronger.
02:34
I think they are talented, they're really talented.
