I wish it would click in louder,

but they're quite silent when you put them together.
00:08
Hi, I'm Alison Brie.
00:12
This is my W ASMR video,
00:16
let's get started.
00:18
Hannah Montana.
00:21
My first job I ever did was an episode of Hannah Montana.
00:26
I played a hairdresser, and I did a very outlandish,
00:33
sort of New Jersey accent for my audition,
00:37
which didn't end up being used at all in the actual role,
00:41
which is quite funny to me,
00:43
although I do think it's how I got the part.
00:48
I played a bad hairdresser by the end of the episode.
00:51
I had shaved her brother's head as a bit of a prank.
00:55
At the time, I didn't know anything about Miley Cyrus,
01:01
or what the show was, or would become,
01:05
so I just thought it was a cool show
01:08
with Billy Ray Cyrus and his daughter [chuckling].
01:12
It was a lot of fun.
01:14
To represent my time on Hannah Montana,
01:17
I have a Hannah Montana backpack.
01:25
[slow unzipping]
01:50
Closing and opening.
01:52
[slow zipping]
02:01
[fabric crunching]
02:10
The canvas feels nice against my skin.
02:15
[canvas scratching]
02:24
Community.
02:26
I played Annie Edison on Community,
02:30
also known as Little Annie Adderall.
02:35
She was very Type A and had a,
02:39
well, was recovering from an Adderall addiction.
02:43
She could be quite intense
02:47
and also
02:50
always had crushes on boys,
02:55
like Joel McHales' character.
03:03
We had a lot of fun on that show.
03:06
It was constant joking, and doing bits,
03:10
and dropping to the floor and doing the worm [laughing].
03:16
Mostly what I remember about that show
03:20
is laughing constantly.
03:23
To represent Little Annie Adderall
03:26
and her Type A personality,
03:29
we have a notebook and some pens and markers.
03:45
[paper flipping]
03:51
[rubbing]
03:59
[marker scribbling]
04:16
[clicking]
04:21
[marker scribbling]
04:30
One of my favorite episodes
04:33
involves Annie losing her purple pen,
04:38
and subsequently losing her mind.
04:42
But here I've drawn Annie and Jeff in hearts,
04:49
because Annie had a crush on Jeff,
04:53
and also because I'm terrible at drawing.
05:00
[clicking]
05:04
Mad Men.
05:06
One of the best things about Mad Men
05:10
was getting to really play dress up,
05:13
and I always felt like I got into character immediately
05:20
after having my hair done, and my makeup styled,
05:25
and slipping into Trudy's wardrobe,
05:28
which was especially extraordinary.
05:33
Trudy had a lot of great nighties, nightgowns.
05:39
One of my favorites was worn when Trudy was pregnant,
05:44
and I had such a large fake pregnant belly
05:49
that the whole dress floated around me like a cloud,
05:55
and a lot of memes were made out of that look.
06:00
To represent Trudy, we have some Trudy-esque
06:05
Mary Janes by Jimmy Choo.
06:23
Hm.
06:28
[scratching]
06:33
Good texture, bit of a snakeskin,
06:38
if you will.
06:41
[tapping]
06:50
[laughing]
06:53
The Lego Movie.
06:55
Working in animation is really fun,
06:59
because you get to do crazy voices
07:03
and things that you could never do
07:07
in a live action production.
07:11
Princess Unikitty is a really fun role because,
07:17
on the one hand, she's always super happy,
07:22
but when you rub her the wrong way, she gets
07:28
very angry.
07:31
It was so fun to play both sides of her,
07:35
especially angry kitty,
07:39
and in the sequel, oh geez, what was she called?
07:44
Ultra Katty,
07:46
and get to channel those sides of my aggression.
07:52
To represent Unikitty in The Lego Movie,
07:56
I have some Unikitty Lego action figures.
08:03
[Lego pieces rattling]
08:11
[box creaking]
08:20
[cardboard ripping]
08:34
[plastic crackling]
08:40
This is a good one.
08:43
[plastic crackling]
08:51
[rattling]
09:00
[scraping]
09:13
[rattling]
09:27
I wish it would click in louder,
09:30
but they're quite silent when you put them together.
09:42
That one doesn't even go there.
09:45
[plastic crackling]
10:11
[rattling]
10:20
Glow.
10:22
To prepare for Glow,
10:24
we do about four weeks of wrestling training
10:28
with all the women in the cast before we start shooting,
10:34
and we practice body slamming each other,
10:39
and we practice doing suplexes,
10:44
and headlocks, and chain wrestling,
10:49
and it's really fun and exciting and empowering,
10:56
and it's been a great source of bonding for all of us.
11:01
Also it gets us in good shape.
11:03
We wear quite small leotards on the show,
11:09
which actually has been really empowering also, I think,
11:14
because there are so many women on the show,
11:18
we all feel very comfortable in our bodies,
11:22
and in our strength as wrestlers.
11:28
I get to play Zoya the Destroya,
11:32
a Russian wrestling champion.
11:36
It's very fun to crush
11:39
the little American wrestlers on the show.
11:45
Also my hair stands about six inches high off my head,
11:52
which I just think is cool.
11:55
To represent Glow, I have some spandex.
12:02
[spandex stretching]
12:11
[thwapping]
12:18
[spandex stretching]
12:22
[rubbing]
12:41
[spandex stretching]
12:49
You never know what you're gonna have to do in wrestling.
12:54
I hope you enjoyed this ASMR video.
12:59
Sleep tight.
